June 6, 2014
We’ve waited patiently for 4 years and now it’s finally here again, i.e. one of the world’s biggest sporting event – the FIFA World Cup 2014. The first match will be played at the Arena de Sao Paulo on June 13th 4:00am (Malaysian time), as the host country Brazil take on Croatia in the kick-off game. Naturally, all bets will be on Brazil to win the game.
32 teams will battle it out at the group stage, of which the top 16 will qualify and play in the Round of 16 beginning 28th June. The finals will be played on 13th July in Rio de Janeiro. The favourites to lift the coveted world cup in Brazil are Spain, Germany and Brazil.
You can follow the game at the official FIFA website. Or if you prefer a more localized version, visit Malaysia’s own unofficial Brazil World Cup 2014 website, where you can predict the scores and discuss the games with your fellow Malaysians.
